Day 02: Leh After breakfast drive to Alchi, enroute visit Basgo Palace and Likir Monastery. The present gompa in Likir dates back to the 18th century. It contains huge clay images of Buddha and various old manuscripts. It also houses an interesting collection of

Thankas, old religious and domestic costumes and implements etc. Arrive in Alchi by the afternoon. Visit the monastery at Alchi; spend the afternoon exploring the village. Overnight in a camp or a guest house.

Day 03: Leh
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Lamayuru Monastery. Lamayuru has fascinating caves carved out of the mountainside. Also known as Yung Drung (Swastika) it is sited on a high promontory overlooking the village and valley. For sheer spectacle value no other gompa can match Lamayuru. Overnight hotel.

Day 04: Leh
After breakfast proceed for an unforgettable drive to Khardung La Pass (18,300ft), the highest motor able road in the world. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Himalayas. Return by the afternoon. Afternoon free to explore the local markets on your own. Overnight hotel.

Day 05: Leh - Departure
Transfer to the airport to fly to Delhi.
